Our Honeymoon!

At the beginning of wedding planning I assigned Matt one job...planning the honeymoon! I, of course, gave him some criteria...I wanted to go to some place warm, relaxing and somewhere I had never been. He chose Riveria Maya, Mexico.
Matt is somewhat of a procrastinator. Around January he
still had not booked the trip. I almost took matters into my own hand out of fear that I would end up in Hot Springs for our honeymoon. However, he began planning and thankfully ended up booking through a travel agent. About a week before we left there was a cancellation in our flight home. We were stuck in Dallas on our way home and had to book another flight the next day to make it home. Matt, being the salesman that he is, complained to our travel agent and get us upgraded to a nicer hotel at the resort and a honeymooners package for FREE!!
Our honeymoon turned out to be everything I wanted. We slept in, sat at the pool, went to nice dinners, and walked along the beach. I could
not have asked for a more relaxing week.

The ocean was So blue. Right in front of us is a rock pool and hot tub
Our dinner on the beach. It was so pretty and soo yummy!
This is what Matt did the entire week...shades on, cervesa in hand! Relaxing from all of the wedding planning!

Our Wedding

March 21 finally arrived after many months of planning, stressing, creating, decision making, designing, sewing, and paying attention to every detail to make our day special. And I could not have asked for a better day.

The day started with a bridesmaid lunch to honor my closest friends given by my aunts.

My bridesmaids

I do not know what I would
have done without their friendship over the years. I am lucky to have found such a great group of friends.
Matt and the groomsmen were rather relaxed. They enjoyed a few games of basketball before the wedding!

Matt's Family

One of my bridesmaids, Claire, started this bracelet for a friend, Elizabeth, who got married. Claire added a charm with the date of Elizabeth's wedding. Elizabeth wore it in her wedding and added a charm for me. I wore it and added another charm for the next friend who got married. The bracelet will make its way to each of our friends and the last friend will get to keep the bracelet to pass on to her daughter.

I absolutely loved how my flowers turned out!

I love this picture of Matt before the wedding...he doesn't look nervous at all!

Matt's face seeing me for the first time.

It is official...we are married!

All the cousins at the gazebo. The gazebo was dedicated to our church in memory of my great aunt.

Leaving the church, this is my favorite picture of the day!
Our first dance as husband and wife!

Time to cut the cake!

The groom's cake turned out great.
The fight song is written around the sides.
Sprinkled with rose petals from the Mayor!

Engagement Pictues

Our engagement pictures were one of the most fun things were did before the wedding. We were lucky enough to have 2 engagement portrait sessions! My aunt works for a magazine so we got to have a picture session with her as well as our photographer. I absolutely love how the pictures turned out!

The pictures at the train are some of my favorites,
they were taken at downtown Fort Smith.

This picture was my aunts idea and I love how it turned out!
