The girls favorite place is be is the kitchen, right under my feet!!  They particularly love the pantry.  The pantry door is always closed because of the trashcan.  Any time that we open the door they come running (crawling), I swear they can hear the door open from anywhere in the house!!
They have recently discovered their reflection in the refrigerator.  I will often look down and see them with their faces pressed to the refrigerator.
 My kitchen helpers.
Payton still has a love for socks.  She loves to carry them around and chew on them.  She is not picky, she loves all kinds, clean, dirty, hers, mommy's, or daddy's!
The girls have also recently discovered the dishwasher and they think it is the coolest thing!  They love to pull things out or play in the water left after it runs!  I am hoping their interest in the dishwasher continues as they get older and they will love to unload it!!

January 5, 2012

Aunt Adrienne got these shirts for the girls for Christmas.  They say, "I've been a Razorback fan my whole life"!  They are so stinkin' cute!!

McKinley said Mama today!!  Both of my girls are now saying Mama!  It is so neat to hear them look at me and say Mama!  McKinley is also starting to crawl 'normal' but it isn't as fast as army crawling so she only does it occasionally.  I am sad that they are not army crawling anymore.  It was so fun to watch them wiggle across the floor!
Payton started waving today.  She has been working on it for a few days and finally figured out how to open and close her tiny fingers.  Great job, Payton!!

January 5, 2012

Last night Payton woke up with a fever.  I’m afraid she is now getting the cold McKinley has had for a few days.  When one is sick the other gets it.  The doctors still say there is nothing they can do for colds because they are so young.  So, we are doing small doses of benedryl and Tylenol, and we are sucking out noses (which they think is the absolute worst thing I could EVER do to them!).  They also sleep with their cribs elevated at one end and the humidifier on.
Despite their yucky noses they both are still happy girls (until I pull out the nose sucker!).  I walked in their room during their afternoon nap and they were just chatting away.
My sweet, happy girls!
We have been blessed with great babies, they are always so happy and smiling.

January 4, 2012

We needed the “Booboo Bunny” for the first time tonight.  Payton fell and hit her head and immediately had goose egg on her forehead.
Poor baby!  She is so tough and even let Matt hold the ice on it.
McKinley is pulling up on almost anything.  I love those little blue eyes peeking over the edge of the table.
She is getting really good at pulling up on things.  I'm afraid she will be walking soon and I have a feeling she will start out running!!

January 3, 2012

Payton is now crawling "normal", she is not army crawling anymore.

She rocked on her hands and knees for awhile but she figured out how to crawl and she is fast!!

The girls love their new dog, Violet, she says their name, their favorite things, and signs their favorite songs.
I steamed broccoli and let the girls try some.  They loved it but had a really hard time picking it up because it was so soft.
They really enjoyed mashing it in their hands and putting it in their hair.  We had a messy dinner but it was a fun one!!

January 2, 2012

Another stage is upon us!!!
McKinley is now pulling up and has learned to stand in her bed.  Matt had to lower her crib!  He also lowered Payton's crib because it won't be long before she is standing in her bed too.
The girls are really into hangers right now.  They love to chew on them and bang them together.  I don't let them have hangers very often so it is a big treat to get to chew on them!!
I realized tonight that McKinley has enough hair to wear a bow without a headband.  She looks so big with a bow in her hair.  It didn't last long, she pulled the bow out as soon as I put it in but I will keep trying!!

2011 proved to be one of our best years yet.  Our family doubled as we welcomed our 2 precious girls.  I got a new job and I love being a stay at home mom!  Matt continued to grew and learn at his job in sales.  We spent the last part of the year settling in as a family of 4 and we could not be more happier about our new life.
