 11 Months

Payton

Payton wears 9 months clothes.  She is in size 2 diapers and size 3 diapers at night.  She is eating almost everything that we get.  She eats at least a fruit for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch and a fruit and veggie for dinner.  She has juice and a snack between lunch and dinner.
Payton LOVES books.  She will sit still and flip through the pages of a book by herself or will sit and listen to us read.  She enjoys sitting and playing with her toys.  She can entertain herself with toys for a while (or until sister comes around!).
Payton can say Mama, Dada, Nana, Yaya and babbles all of the time.
This month she had her first yeast infection and was so good through it.
Payton has 4 teeth and 1 more coming in.
Her favorite place to sleep is the pack and play in our room.
She is just starting to pull up and walk down the couch.
Payton, I love to watch your eyes light up as you look at the pictures in your book.  I also love to watch you play with your toys.  You are so much fun!  We love you sweet girl!

McKinley
McKinley wears 9 months clothes.  She is in size 2 diapers and size 3 diapers at night.  She is eating almost everything that we get.  She eats at least a fruit for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch and a fruit and veggie for dinner.  She has juice and a snack between lunch and dinner.

McKinley loves to bang her hand on the table making loud noises!  She also loves to open the cabinets as far as the child lock with allow and bang them shut.  She likes to look at books but cannot sit still for very long.  She is very curious about everything around her.
McKinley can say Mama, Dada, Yaya, yay, baba, no.
She has 8 teeth and did great with teething.
McKinley walks down the couch and even let go of the table to stand alone for a few seconds.
She is a great sleeper...most of the time!

McKinley, I love to watch as you speed crawl across the floor to find something new.  I love to see you try new things.  You are so much fun at this stage!  We love you sweet baby!

This month was the hardest month to get good pictures of the girls, they are just too busy to sit still for pictures!  This month was a very big month for the girls.  They are getting faster at crawling and closer to walking.  They are also saying more words and babbling constantly.

My favorite thing they started doing this month is crawling to the door when they hear Matt come home from work.  I love to watch them speed crawl to him.  They will also crawl after each other or follow each other around the house.  They particularly love to crawl to the scale in our bathroom.  They also crawl to the back window to sit and look outside.

This month they spent the night away from us for the first time.  It was hard on Matt and I but it was a lot better than I thought it would be.  I guess knowing they were with family made it easier for us.
They are now walking across the couch and coffee table.  We will line Cheerios up done the coffee table and they will take steps all the way down to get to each one.
They also love when we sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider.
I am just amazed that my babies are close to walking and close to their first birthday.  Let the party planning begin!! :)

This morning I had some much needed help unloading the dishwasher!
The girls are so fascinated with the dishwasher right now.  They can both pull up on it and pull things out.  They have also figured out that if they both push on the basket it will come out, too!
I love these, "You mean I'm not suppose to be in the dishwasher?" faces!
When we were done unloading the girls also helped me load.
There is nothing better than toys in the dishwasher! :)

The girls are always so happy when they get up from a nap.  Typically they don't cry when they wake up, they just hang out and 'talk' to each other.
When I walk in they give me big smiles and squeal.  Getting them from nap time is probably one of my favorite parts of the day, they are just so happy to see me!
It just doesn't get much better than a big drool smile!!
Sometimes I put them in the same crib and they will just look at each other and laugh.  It is like they think it is so funny that they are both in the same crib together.
I love to watch the girls interact and play together.  I am so glad that they will be close friends.

 Happy 2nd Birthday Lily Kate!
We spent the weekend with Lily Kate celebrating her 2nd birthday.  We spent Saturday preparing for the big party.  The girls were in their favorite place...the kitchen, helping us bake goodies for the party.

Yaya and Aunt Karen took a baking break to hold sleeping babies.  I think they sat like this for the whole 2 hours while the rest of us slaved in the kitchen! :)

Lily Kate got an early birthday present and did a great job sharing with the girls.  Matt spent the afternoon pushing all three girls around the house.
Sweet babies loving their aunt!  We had such a fun day playing and preparing for the party.
Before bed the girls had to get in some snuggle time with Nana.  They love to be rocked in Nana's big chair.
Lily Kate decided that she wanted to help feed a baby.  She is so interested in the girls and loves to help with them.

Sunday was the big party day.  Adrienne did such a great job decorating.
Birthday Girl!  I cannot believe that she is already 2!  We are so thankful that she is in our lives.  She is such a blessing, I do not know what we all did before she came!
Of course she had an Elmo birthday party.
Happy Birthday, Sweet Lily Kate!  We love you and are so glad we got to celebrate with you!

We are so excited to be heading to see my family and celebrate Lily Kate's 2nd birthday.
Miss McKinley let go of the coffee table and stood by herself for a few seconds!!  We were so excited and I think we scared her because she quickly sat down!  She got back up and stood again, though!!
Payton is walking holding on to the table and she is getting around the table pretty fast.  I know that she will be standing alone very soon.

These sweet babies keep me on my toes!
They are getting so big and are now discovering everything around the house.  Gone are the days when they would sit on their blanket and play with their toys.
They are interacting more and they are starting to argue and fight with each other.  I am just amazed that they have started THIS early...it is going to be a long road of disagreements in our house!  :)
At this point McKinley will take a toy away from Payton and Payton will scream at her.  Payton will also flail her arms in anger.  It is so funny the way they fight.
I know I shouldn't laugh at them but it is just so cute...for now!  A lesson of sharing is in our near future!

February 26, 2012

Every night Matt goes out to water the garden and every time he goes outside the girls go to the window crying after him.  They love to be outside and they love their Daddy.

I just love to sit back and watch the three of them interact.  They are too sweet together!

February 25, 2012

The weather is getting a little nicer and we are enjoying taking the girls outside.  They are still not too sure of the grass but I think they are enjoying the outdoors, too.
We decided to take the girls on a few errands this afternoon and since they did so good at lunch earlier in the week we thought that it would be fun to take them to lunch in between a few places.
We decided to eat at Buffalo Grill because it is one of our favoirtes.  We get in and get everyone settled into highchairs and put our order in so that we don't have to wait long.  We put snacks in front of the girls to keep them entertained.  McKinley begins throwing her food on the floor and SCREAMING, not the cry screaming, the I am going to scream as loud as I can because I like to hear myself scream.  I gave her a sippy cup and she threw it on the floor and kept squealing and laughing at herself.  We tell her 'no' when she screams and she says 'no' right back, which is a new thing as of today!  Everyone is looking at us as we try to find something that will quiet her.  Matt picks her up and she squirms so he hands her to me and she screams.  At this point, Payton is quietly eating and everyone is still starring.  We decided to get our food to go and McKinley and I waited outside while Matt got the food and paid.  I am not sure why she was squealing but we will NOT be going back out to eat any time soon!!
My sweet girl that is so quiet and patient!!  Payton's yeast infection is clearing up and she is doing much better!  I am so glad to have a happy baby again!
McKinley is starting to get into more and more things.  She is realizing that she can pull up and reach things.  She is now pulling everything off of tables and shelves and throwing them on the floor.  She is also pulling up on the highchairs and pushing them around.

February 22, 2012

The girls absolutely LOVE to stand at the back door and look outside.  If it is ever really quiet I can typically find them at the door just staring outside.
We went to eat lunch with Daddy, which we don't get to do very often so it was a fun treat.  This was the first time that we went out and actually ordered something for the girls to eat.  They sat in their highchairs and ate vegetables and even got to try sweet potato fries.  They were so good and it was a nice break to get out of the house!
Yesterday Payton had a slight diaper rash, I put cream on it and thought it would just go away.  Today it is worse.  We let Mimi see and she said it looked like a yeast infection.  I call our doctor and they told me a cream to get.  I am so hoping it goes away soon I can tell it really hurts her.

My friends planned a trip to the races this weekend so my mom and sister came down to stay with the girls.  They have been begging for a long time to keep the girls over night so we decided that since Matt's parents were out of town we would go to the races then stay at their house for a full nights rest.
This sweet little girl always finds something fun to play with at Mimmy's house (especially in the messy panty)! :)
While we were going mom took pictures of the girls for us.
I think they ALL had a great time together.
And we had a great time with our friends and a great FULL nights sleep!  But we were up bright and early ready to get home to see our girls.
After we got back Lily Kate discovered that we had a hermit crab, my class pet that has been with me for years now!
She was very interested and even held it!!
We are so thankful that my mom and sister came down to keep the girls so we could have a much needed night out!
